Feedback on Norway Road Trip Itinerary
 

Hi all,

Travelling first time to Scandinavia region, have travelled to Europe multiple times before. We are travelling to Norway in May for 11 days and with so much to see and do, with great difficulty I have been able to come up with a trip itinerary which I think makes sense and isn't over ambitious. We plan to rent a car as it allows us flexibility and freedom of the route we want to take.

I was hoping to get someone to validate the itinerary and let me know if it makes sense. I had to create the itinerary with the following conditions in mind:

• We arrive in Stavanger, will start the road trip from here.
• We want to experience the Bergen to Oslo train line and hence the road trip needs to end in Bergen.
• Don't want to spend the full day driving so maximum distance between two places shouldn't exceed travel time of 5-6 hours.
• Things to do, places to see is still WIP as I am still doing the research but want to finalize the locations where we plan to stay so that I can book hotels at the earliest possible. Welcome your suggestions/feedback on those as well.

DAY 1 - Arrive and stay in Stavanger

DAY 2 - Stay in Stavanger

For drive from Stavanger, take the ferry from Stavanger to Tau, and then continue to Preikestolen fjellstue via Jørpeland on Rv 13.

DAY 4 - Odda to Aurland, Stay in Aurland

No advice to offer but excited to see your post as I am planning self drive also and feel somewhat overwhelmed so looking forward to reading your responses 😉
