feedback on my route Norway
Hi,
I've put together a tour of Norway myself, but I have no idea if it's feasible or not: too many activities, too long distances, etc. Below is my daily itinerary. Can anyone tell me if this is doable or not? Thanks.Dag 1: Kristiansand – Ergersund - aankomst in Kristiansand Markens - evt. Bystrando - evt. Sjosanden - evt. Frisbeegolfbahn Mandal Dag 2: Ergersund – Stavanger - Preikstolen Dag 3: Stavanger – Skarde - kuieren in Stavanger - daarna lange rit maar stoppen waar we zin hebben - Langfossen waterval Dag 4: Skarde – Voss - evt Tjornadalsfossen - evt dorpje Odda - familirafting in Voss Dag 5: Voss – Flam - Fjordcruise Naeroyfjord - Vikingdorp Njardarheimr Dag 6: Flam – Luster - Treinrit Flamsbahn + zipline + fietsen Dag 7: Luster Luster - gletjeshike in Jostendalen Dag 8: Luster – Geilo - Aurlandsvangen viewpoint - lange rit en stoppen waar we zin in hebben Dag 9: Geilo – Geilo - rustdag Dag 10: Geilo – Veggli - Klimpark Hoyt & Lavt Dag 11: Veggli – Notodden - Glamping in Notodden rust Dag 12: Notodden – Kongsberg - Waterpretpark Bo Sommerland Dag 13 en 14: Kongsberg – Oslo - Oslo verkennen en dag 14 oslo + vertrek |
to me it depends on the time of year and the weather, also I guess your interests.
I can hike for miles in Norway enjoying each turn in the route but if this is really a road trip in the summer you can do it but really apart from the view passing outside the car window why bother. Places like Flam and Voss (and others) are really small with nothing but beautiful countryside around. If you are traveling for the towns, then the plan is fine, if you are traveling for the countryside then reduce your visits. |

We do travel in the summer with our children.Our interests lie in nature and activities (ziplining, climbing, glacier hiking, etc.) and also in the occasional city (Stavanger, Oslo). However, our children don't like long car rides, which might not be the best combination :-), but that's why we make so many stops, so we drive a maximum of 3 hours each day. |
