Feb 15th Peace Demos, London,Paris

Does anyone know what areas of London and Paris will be affected by the huge peace demonstrations on Saturday, the 15th?

Not sure this really is really much help - it's the London Metropolitan Police's advise posted on their website:

http://www.met.police.uk/pns/DisplayPN.cgi?pn_id=2003_0029

The advise seems mostly aimed at people who want to attend the march.

From experience of demos in the past - the focus is generally Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square, also Hyde Park.

Thank you, Kate.

A friend is in London and needs to get to the Eurostar for Paris Sat. late morning. I guess I'll tell her to leave early.

I loved the kind and gentle advice from the police to wear your wellies and bring a thermos of a hot drink!

Just did a Google search, "February 15, 2003 peace demonstration paris"

This is in French: http://relatif.el-khalifa.net/

Demonstration will apparently take place at Place Denfert-Rochereau A 14 HEURES (2:00 PM)

Here's the info re London: http://www.stopwar.org.uk/

And for other cities worldwide: http://www.worldmessenger.20m.com/march.html

Avoid central London at all costs. It will be clogged beyond all imagining.

The Tube will close certain stations (which will be completely dependent on the speed, turnout etc of the march - so not predicatable).

A good day to visit somewhere like Windsor.
