FCO Clearing Customs

We have booked a shuttle service from FCO into central Rome and wonder about the pickup time for the shuttle. How long does it take on average) for passport control, to clear customs, and get luggage? We are flying from Heathrow to FCO landing about 1:00 PM on a weekday.Thanks.

Usually the shuttle company asks for your flight info and they allow time for luggage retrieval. Which company did you use?

It depends on the number of passport control agents working and the number of flights that will arrive the same time you do. We had over an hour waiting in line arriving from Prague to FCO in the afternoon. There were three agents on duty with one available for EU passport holders only. It was disgustingly slow with some people cutting and jumping the lines. We were late and the car service charged us a late fee-no excuses allowed.

Hi kyboourbon - We are reserved with Rome Shuttle Limousine. francophile - maybe it is better to add 90 minutes to the arrival time?
Thanks for the input

Rome Shuttle Limousine has waited over 1.5 hours for me and never charged me extra. Just give them your flight number and let them take care of the timing.

It may not be a bad idea to think about doing that, macinpv.
