Faxing Rome hotel

I just got a good tip on how to fax our hotel in Paris...anyone know the best way to fax our Rome hotel from the U.S.? We're staying in the Parlamento, or at least we hope to. Our other option is to e-mail our credit card info. That sounds a bit dicey...Thanks.

Why would it be any different to fax the hotel in Rome, other than using a different country code? Also, I've never had a problem providing credit card information over a secure connection. And if I ever have to send credit card info in a regular email, I split the card numbers. I don't know if that would prevent someone from getting my info, but I've never had a problem that way either. I also use a credit card that I never use, just in case it does fall into the wrong hands.

Sorry if this was a dumb question...I just got some advice on how to fax more cheaply to Paris by using a different set of numbers. I was hoping for similar advice. Thanks, anyway.

Okay, mark me as a stupid newbie...but if the hotel in Rome writes that their fax number is 0039-06-699-21-000, what would the full fax number be from the U.S.? Anyone willing to help with what is probably an obvious question, but not obvious to me?

Thanks.

011-39-06-etc.

Hello beeswing. You need to use 011 (the international no.) and than I am confused. To phone Italy I dial 39 which is the the code for Italy. I don't dial 2 zeros in front of the 39. I don't think I ever have either when faxing Italy but it has been so long ago since I have faxed Italy I can't be 100% certain. 06 is the code for Rome. The balance of the number would be the hotel's actual phone no.

Beeswing, here is the hotel's website.http://www.hotelparlamento.it/

I believe the + they show is for those using cell phones.

So to fax just use the 011-39-06 plus their actual phone no. Best regards.

Thanks for the help! Our home fax wasn't hooked up to the phone line (we didn't realize that when we wrote that we'd fax them)...so we used FedEx/Kinkos. It cost about $7 to fax, and we are proud new owners of a 7-day hotel booking in Rome.

Great! Enjoy your time in Rome, beeswing. I am glad it worked out for you.

Thanks! Can't believe I wrote 7 days (that was 7 dollars, not 7 days)...we're staying for 5 nights, not 7. I'm anticipating we'll have a great time. :)
