Caroline - we just moved here from Pittsburgh, PA and will be here for at least 3 years (husband has a job at Edinburgh University). We're just having an amazing time exploring and seeing as much as possible! We're getting a few chances to travel through my husband's work, so this board has been invaluable.

Glad you're enjoying yourselves. And you came at the right time for weather ! Make the most of it, it's only warm enough to sit outside at night once every 7 years :-)

We also enjoyed the well-kept castles/palaces at Scone, Cawdor, Stirling, etc. But for some reason, we especially enjoyed the ruins at Duffus, Spynie, Killdrummy, Duntulm and Linlithgow.
