We just returned and at Killkenny Design Center (Dublin) & Avoca Handweavers(Wicklow) we purchased gorgeous Mohair blankets/throws. I couldn't resist...choose one that looks like sunshine...and another that reminded me of caramel!!

CD's....at the Celtic Note in Dublin.
A bottle of Middleton Rare Whiskey...at the Celtic Whiskey Shop in Dublin.
And cheese glorious cheese at the Sheridan Cheesemongers in Dublin!!

Ditto on the Kilkenny Design Center and the Avoca Shops - Wicklow or elsewhere. Great quality. Avoca is expensive, while Kilkenny has a range of prices. I bought a lovely handmade silk and cotton sweater in Dublin (I live in the South and the wool was too bulky and warm for our winters), which I've enjoyed for years, lots of small Belleek vases with shamrocks on them and linen napkins. My mother went once and got us both wonderful wool capes--mine is scarlet and hers is royal blue. My husband liked the dark green Connemara marble and bought himself some coasters for his study. (And that was all he bought!) The Irish Dresden is famous. Some of it is gaudy and some is really nice. What I most treasure from the trip are the sweater and four hand-made pottery sheep I bought at the Kilkenny Center. I so loved the black-faced sheep I saw everywhere in the country that these are my favorite momentoes.
