Favorite restaurants in Provence???
What are your favorites in Provence? I'm defining that rather broadly: north of the Mediterannean Sea, east of the Rhone, south of a line from Valence to Briancon.

Hi Tom
Chalons sur soane Magny : fantatic food - I had a chou farci aux escargots... Roussillon ? Schaeffer : great - close to Annonay. was it Roussillon ? Tournus Greuze - a michelin. Violes château le Martinet : in a castle. Does your definition include the côte d'Azur itslef ? (I'm there right now). |
Well be sure and post any good ones you try on the Côte d'Azur Woin.

Ok.Côte d'azur :
Cavaliere (Saint-clair) Smash : in a tennis club, the chef held 'le Sud' before. Fabulous. Gassin Micocoulier / one of our favourites. Been there 20 times at least. Saint Tropez L'escale : on the port, expensive though. Antibes Voûte (la) : falsely touristic, more upscale than usual. And in Cavalaire sur mer : Cavalaire Bab Mansour : great couscous Cavalaire Comptoir des saveurs : refined Cavalaire Delicatessen : they had a 'agneau de 15 heures' hmmm Cavalaire Lc café : relatively new. Cavalaire Petite crêperie : our cantine Cavalaire Yams : been there more than I can count too. sometimes long but great food. Some of these restaurants are quite small. |
Thanks, Wo, for your contribution.
For me personally, we're not going to the Cote d'Azur; but I made this post for the benefit of ALL going ANYWHERE in Provence, so sure, we can include the Cote'd'Azur in this Provence post. Other tags we could include would be: Alpes-de-Haute-Provence; Luberon; Vaucluse; Var; Alpes-Maritime; Bouches-du-Rhone; Drome; Alpilles; |
