Favorite Restaurants in Paris (high end and more affordable)
My husband and I will be spending 3 days in Paris and would like some recommendations on dinner places in Paris. We will be staying in Saint Germain area and would prefer to stay within that area ( but not necessarily)

Check out Patricia Wells' "Food Lover's Guide to Paris" (www.foodloversparis.com). It can't be beat!

Paris by Mouth has restaurants listed by arrondissement and their reviews and choices are quite good.
|
The last one I really enjoyed.
Tell us more qabout what you like for food, budget and I can get some more recs. (I eat weekly in Paris). http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...-whathello.cfm |
we just got back mid july and our favorites were pottoka (basque), l'ange 20 and le hide. all affordable.
|
Le Christine, a little hideaway not far from St. Germain, is a place we like. Not overly fancy or pricey.
|
Our favorite is Le Souffle, on rue du Mont Thabor across from the Tuilleries.

L'Ami Jean, rue Malar (7th) Fun, great food, lively environment
L'Oiseau Blanc, Peninsula Paris Hotel, Av Kebler (GREAT view) Truffes Folies, rue Malar (7th) Truffle heaven - reserve on lefork.com for 40% discount at lunch Le Clou, Av Trudaine (9th) newly taken over and excellent new menu L'Escailler Bistro, rue Paul Bert (11th) The fishy sister to Bistro Paul Bert, also quite good, the seafood tower is an absolute orgy Les Ombres, at Musee Branley (7th) Another great view Verjus, rue de Rechelieu (1st) Excellent chef's menu with perfect wine pairings (generous pours!) Le Mandragore, at Hotel Particulier, Av Junot (18th) Excellent chef's menu in an old Hermes Mansion hidden in a garden in Montmartre. Better stay longer than 3 days! |
By the way, don't forgo a great place to eat near your hotel. Uber is a very easy and inexpensive option.
|
l'ardoise, or la relais de entrecote...
|
Not far splurge worthy is LAtelier du Joel Robuchon and also Allard. A favorite of ours in the first arr is Verjus.
