Favorite restaurants/cafes in Budapest?
 

I'm a former NYC bakery owner, and feel compelled to eat my way through Budapest!I'll sign up for NUTRISYSTEM when I get back. Would love to hear your recommendations for wonderful, unpretentious restaurants and cafes. Thanks very much.

we enjoyed finishing up a few nights on our way back to the marriot ex. apts a stop for a drink at the wonderfully located floatng barge "spoon café" with romantic views of the chain bridge across the river.

It is docked very near the marriot hotel and i have seen other posters reviews of very good food.

Have a great time in Budapest!

We really enjoyed a little place called Kis Rablo, located very near the Gellert Hotel.

As I remember we walked about a block away from the river, then half a block or so to the left. Or you could ask somebody.

The food was good, plentiful, and inexpensive. Everyone was having a good time, and appeared to be local residents.

We also had a very good dinner at Gundel.

I forgot to add our visit to Budapest was several years ago, so this recommendation comes with no guarantees.

But it seems like just yesterday!
