Favorite restaurant on Dordogne River
We would love to have a yummy lunch overlooking the Dordogne River. We will be staying in Sarlat, but traveling around visiting different sights. Any suggestions? I assume I will need to make a reservation soon for a table with a view. We will be in the area May 19-25?
Any other restaurant suggestions for the area?

Chateau de la Treyne - where we'll have our 45th anniversary dinner in Sept.

They are not open for lunch every day.
Or here - in the same area as La Treyne

We'll dine here also.

The restaurant of Hotel Esplanade in Domme has a terrace overlooking the Dordogne.
Good ratings of the Michelin Guide. We have enjoyed excellent quality. Strong in local truffles, of course.

Just keep in mind if you're planning on having wine with lunch that Château de la Treyne is 39 kms from Sarlat, and not even in the Dordogne (it's in the Lot). It's absolutely magical, but way beyond the concept of a yummy lunch.
L'Esplanade is always good, IMO. But if you actually want to be right on the river, my choice would be La Gabarre.
