You cannot book a table in Cal Pep..it is all counter seating. The restaurant in the back has another name.

I highly recommend El Pintor in the Barri Gotic. I had a spectacular salmon done in cider with braised apples on top and a delectable dessert. It is a calm, relaxing rustic environment with impeccable service. I covered more in my trip report last month, but it was my best meal in 9 days in Spain....sigh!
