favorite paris spots to eat, in each arrondissement

I am going to Paris with my daughter, 35 years old.
We will try and explore Paris by arrondissement
Staying for 6 days in the latin quarter, Hotel Parc Saint-Severin
Would like your ideas on special, non touristed bistros, brassieres, maybe a restaurant, wine bars, in each arrondissement.
Thanks so much
Maria

Seriously? You're going to be in Paris for 6 days and you want recommendations on special places to eat in all 20 arrondissements?

You might start by searching on Fodors for the hundreds and hundreds of Paris restaurant threads.

We liked Les Papilles in the 6th - near Luxemburg Garden - south of Rue Soufflot & east of Blvd. St. Michael. Must make reservations. 4 course pre fix dinner - same menu for all customers. It was delicious. Phone 01 43 25 20 79 or e-mail [email protected]. Would go back in a minute - it was fabulous.

This is one of our favorites on Ile St. Louis

A WOW favorite is

Here are some good sites to do research
http://www.fodors.com/search/results...is+restaurants

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...de_France.html

Fodorites love chatting about Paris and will be glad to help you, but you must do some research and narrow it down a bit. Right outside the doors of the Parc St. Severin hotel there are more restaurants than you could eat in in 6 days, much less all of Paris.

It's also fun to just wander and come upon something that looks good for the smaller bistros. The area you are staying is is great for that.

I posted a couple of food reports here.

From March http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...ims-report.cfm

From December http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...rip-report.cfm

Maybe you can find something of interest.

We also like Sorza, but it is on Ile St. Louis not Ile de la Cite.

Non-touristed won't be easy.

I and others here really liked Bistro des Gastronomes. When we were there in November, there weren't other tourists, but it has since gained many mentions on websites. In the 5th, by the way. It was one of my favorite meals during a week of great eating.

You can search my name for my Paris T/Rs....lots of restaurant info and photos.

What comes to mind quickly is Le Souffle in the first. Citrus Etoile in the eight. Reed or Cafe Constant in the 7th. The sixth is loaded - Le Danton, les editteurs, Marco Polo and Le Comptoir to name a few. Au Vieux Chene in the 11th. L'Orangerie on Ile St Louis, in the fourth. Cafe de la Paix in the 9th across from Opera Garnier.

I think that, in general, you can assume most places outside the main central part of Paris will generally be nontouristed and those in the center will have tourists (and parts of the 7th around rue Cler and Ecole Militaire, and up in Montmartre around Sacre Coeur, of course), that's generally the way it works.

Okay, I'll suggest places in the 15th: My favorite bistro in the 15th is Bistro Champetre on rue St Charles. Bet you won't go there. By favorite cafes are Le Linois at place Charles Michels and Le Bouquet de Grenelle just in front of la Motte-Picquet metro stop. These are nothing that special, I just find them good locations for people-watching and relaxing in the areas I tend to be. I don't really go to wine bars much.

I was just there for 3 weeks in May and out of all the restaurants I ate at, I've got to say that I LOVE La Cadole. Must have gone there 5 or 6 times.

It's in the 6th arr. and about a 3 minute walk from Duroc metro station so it's not hard to find. About 25 euro for a 3 course meal, super fresh and real French food frequented by locals in that area. The owner Thierry is super nice with good English and has no problem going over the menu with you to explain what each dish is. If you go, tell him Alice recommended it and says hi

very ambitious but I am bookmarking, just in case, this thread develops into a restaurant guide. I think what is overwhelming about Paris is choice. So much to choose from.

I keep confusing those two, TPAYT! Thanks for the correction. We had their early dinner, before 7 pm, I think it was 17 euros for 3 course meal.... amazing. Their parmesan rissotto was sublime and the french onion soup was quite respectable.

Hey, TPAYT....there are current reviews of L'Orangerie on Trip Advisor! I don't know why it wasn't open when you were there but there are reviews from May and June of 2012. So, it appears L'Orangerie lives!
