Favorite Hotel in 6th arrondissement

Starting new thread 'cause I will not risk my vacation by ending up in one of the awful rooms (which I've heard so much about) at the Relais Christine. So discouraging because I know that staying there, in the right room, would be absolute heaven.

So what hotel is most like the RC, but more reliable vis-a-vis room quality?
Priorities in order of importance:
1. Very, very quiet room
2. Understated luxury
3. Decent-sized Lobby or another gathering room that's pleasant (& serves drinks, preferably!)

How about Relais St. Germain, right by Odeon, Huge rooms all beautifully furnished. I know the adjacent bar and breakfast room have recently changed, so not sure what the total deal is, but the rooms were really special, and less than Relais Christine.

Ours is the Hotel D'Angleterre 44 rue Jacob.
I would recommend the Aubusson also .

Hôtel le Madison, on the Blvd. St-Germain-des-Prés. Great location, very nice rooms recently renovated (ask for one facing the boulevard), pleasant lobby. The hotel's windows are double-glazed; so no problems with noise. The sixth floor has particularly large rooms, some with views.

Get a suite at Hôtel de l'Abbaye, for about the same price you'd be paying for a Superior room at Relais Christine.

Or a Jr. Suite at the Bel-Ami, although the Bel Ami is not as quiet as Relais Christine, nor it has a garden:

I love the Montalembert on the left bank:

and my favorite hotel in Paris is the Lancaster (although the area isn't my favorite).
