Favorite European Vacation in 2011???
 

Just wanted to know what everyone's favorite or memorable European vacation was or a favorite city you spent time in.....Happy 2012 travels to all!

My favorite and most memorable was the trip in 1993 when I bought my house in France.

I have hundreds of other memories of trips to Europe, all of them special.

My favourite was 10 days in an apartment in Paris in 2008.

Just realized you wanted to know about 2011. No trips to Europe for me last year.

I only had holidays in Europe last year - no far away trips sadly.

All three were memorable for different reasons.

My Hurtigruten trip was a trip of firsts - first solo trip, first time to Norway, first Hurtigruten, first Northern Lights and so on, all totally memorable. Favourite trip of the year. One of my all time fave holidays in fact.

My trip to The UK was memorable for the unseasonably good weather, visiting Glasgow, meeting internet friends and seeing the family for the first time in years.

My trip to La Palma (which Fodor's counts as Africa but is Europe to me) was just relaxing and refreshing despite two badly sprained ankles. It made a nice change from our usual holidays.
