Favorite Destination

I am a fiction writer looking to set a new book in one of three locations: Ireland, Scotland, or Wales. Can you share your favorite location with me and why?

Thank you

My impartial and completely unbiased opinion is that it has to be Scotland.
What kind of fiction, and what kind of location? All three countries have a huge variety of places. Why these three countries in particular?

Wales, for the coastal walk.

My favourite location is "None of the above".

I really like Tuscany, especially for pizza (Yeah, I know it's not local but they have great pizza there)

....and for yummy "gelato".

Be sure to visit San Gim when you're there -- it's a blast!

I have been to all three, and my favorite is the Isle of Skye (Scotland), without a doubt. The landscape is just beautiful and unusual. Mountains are right down to the ocean. What kind of story line will your new book take?

BTW, if you need someone to visit Skye for research, I may be available. Heh

Thank you all for your responses.

I write contemporary fiction. I already have the story, characters, etc., but wanted to explore the idea of setting it in the above stated area, mostly for a change.

I appreciate all the information and will take it all into consideration, including Tuscany.

The area of OBAN should work for a Scottish tale that has not been done before. Sure beats the streets of LA!
