Favignana or Levanzo for the day
 

As part of our twenty night Calabrian/Sicilian vacation this summer, we will be spending five nights in the west of Sicily, about ten km outside of Trapani.

We want to spend one full day visiting either the island of Favignana or the island of Levanzo. Which should we choose?

If you are lookng for beaches, go to Favignana.

Thanks neckervd. We do want a few hours at the beach but Levanzo does have the 'Grotta del Genovesecaves' with engravings/paintings dating back to almost 10,000 BC.

Maybe we will take two nights away from our hotel near Erice and spend two nights in Favignana, which would also give us time to ferry to Levanzo. This way we can have the best of both worlds and still spend three nights on the Sicilian mainland, and visit Erice and Trapani, among other sites.
