Fashion: Men's Pointed Shoes

I'm desparately trying to find some, however, I live in the US. Does anybody know a website I can go to where I can purchase some of these fashionable pointed Italian shoes? ([email protected])

My dear, you've missed the boat on this one. Rounded toes, or chisel toes are in vogue at the moment, the plain pointed ones now look overly ponsey, and only Italians get away with them.

Look at Helmut Lang and Miu Miu for some elegant alternatives.

I won't claim to be the fashion expert that m_kingdom is, but I was wondering too, what you are talking about. All the latest men's shoes I've seen in Italy are very square or blunt toed!

That's very bad news, as women who have been stuck with them for years will tell you.

I am very curious as to why you would want pointed toe shoes. At least I've never seen men wearing them in GQ. Maybe I've missed the boat.

Prada's collections two seasons ago (i.e. this time last year) feature slightly rounded pointed toes, however, this years sees a comeback to more classical styles.

There's nothing worse than cottoning on to a fad that is over for the time being.

m_Kingdom2, you have shined enough shoes to know, so we'll trust you on this one. Where is your stand located in Mayfair?

m_Kingdom2, I know you wear them cleaning houses, but that's a risk - what if your employer came home early one day?

m_Kingdom2, by any chance do you have some size 13 slippers (wide) you can spare? Maybe in purple or yellow? I got some female cousins that have birthdays coming up.

Female cousins with huge feet or is that a childrens size?

I only wear black ones I'm afraid.

degas, I never said I made purchases on these websites. I have, in the past, done some research for finding my DH some shoes.

I find it hysterical that no one else has given the OP any answers to his questions (pointed or round), just fashion advice.

I think he may be a troll anyway as he's never posted before.

m_Kingdom2, they are adult sizes. But size 13 is not huge in our neck of the woods. I will say the woman are well-grounded in a wind storm.

Just black? That is a funeral color. You sure you don't have something with a little more "jump and shout" to them?

Mclaurie, I guess we can dream a little
on the websites. I'd need to win the lottery before paying $300-450 for a pair of non-tennis shoes.

My dear, a size 13 is large for a man, for a woman, it's grotesque.
