Faroe Islands
 

Searching the forum produces virtually nothing on Faroe so I suspect that nobody round here has much information.

Wife and I are going from Shetland to Iceland, spending a week in Faroe, fairly soon. If anyone has got experience of the islands please could they post back so I can put up a more specific post? Thanks.

Thanks for response. We're using Faroe as stepping stone to Iceland with our own car so it will be quite a haul altogether.

Looks like I was right about not many people out there who know the islands so will give some info on return.

Michael - Fodor's in always my first choice for travel forums, but as an alternative site, try www.igougo.com. They have some interesting and informative postings. By the lack of postings, Faroe is definitely not an over-touristed destination! Iceland is stunningly beautiful. Enjoy your trips!

We got to Faroe and Iceland by sea from Shetland with our own car in May/June and had a fantastic trip.
