Family trip to scotland with 3 kids and 3 adults

I will be going to edinburgh scotland on march 31st. I have 3 nights booked in edinburgh but after that I have nothing planned. I need help in deciding where to go with 3 kids and 3 adults after edinburgh. My family enjoys being outdoors would like to also stay on a working farm for a couple of nights. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

hi, marietta,

I just googled "farm holidays in Scotland" and came up with www.blackpark.co.uk - a wroking farm in the highlands that might fit the bill.

regards, ann

Thanks for the information. I found a farm from one the sites.
Do you know if children in Scotland hunt Easter eggs and does the Easter Bunny bring baskets? Silly question I know but we will be there on Easter and was just wandering.

Easter Egg Hunts are a recent import from America, but you may find them about the place. They definitely GET chocolate eggs in a big way.

Easter Bunny baskets, I think not.

Sheila are you like a travel guide or something? You are very knowledgeable and I see you on alot of other post about scotland that I have been reading.
I am assuming you live in Scotland; what area do you live in? Were you born and raised in Scotland? I am just curious.
The reason we chose to come to Scotland was because we are of scottish heritage and my Dad has always wanted to go there. So I figured we could all go as a family. The last name is Forsyth. Do you know any of those? I found the clan on the visitscotland website and they are from around Arbroath. And that is all I know.

Thanks for the information about the eggs and easter. I can get them some chocolate eggs while we are there.
