My husband and I were in Florence last month; we found "La Casalinga" (Fodor's Italy 2011) on the first night: authentic, delicious Tuscan food, the place is packed with locals; we each ordered pasta from the primi piati list, shared a secondo, dolce, and half a liter of the house wine for less than 50 euros. You really get a LOT of EXCELLENT food for your euro at this place. We ate here every night we were in Florence except on Sunday (because they are closed!); it is located on the Oltrarno, just south of ponte Santa Trinita.
