Family Friendly Indian Restaurant in London?
We are visiting London next week with our two teens, who love Indian food. We are staying @ KWest, Richmond Way - so would like to find something relatively close & reasonably priced - i.e. not too 'upscale'. Thanks!

If you mean the K-West hotel it is in Shepherds Bush. Not that convenient getting to the Delhi Brasserie. Sorry - I don't personally know any restaurants in Shepherds Bush --haven't been in the immediate area in years.
I agree w/ jamikins. Ask at the hotel.

I strongly recommend Masala Zone restaurants. The closest one is Masala Zone Bayswater. Go to www.masalazone.com.
They have delicious authentic real Indian food, friendly service and interesting decors as well as good value.
I have been going to them for years, and they are London's most popular group of Indian brasserie restaurants by far.

"<i>Tayyabs on Fieldgate Street, E1 (Whitechapel tube station) seems to be considered the best Indian at the moment.</i>"
It may well be (or not) - but Whitechapel is about as far as can be from the K-West and still be in London.

I agree with Masala Zone, Bayswater recommendation. It's walkable from Shepherd's Bush, or a short ride on a 94 or 148 bus.
I was going to recommend The Bombay Bicycle Club on Holland Park Avenue which is only a few minutes walk. Not having been there for a long while, I just checked reviews and they are varied, with some quite negative.Perhaps someone else willhave up-to-date experience to report.
Raj of India on Shepherd's Bush Road is pretty good and very close.
I think most Indian Restaurants are pretty family-friendly.

Masala Zone is the equivalent of a curry McDonalds (sorry for those that like it) but its a fast food chain.
Ask for references at the hotel for a decent non-chain indian - there are lots around.
