Fairytale Road
 

Has anyone traveled the Fairytale Road? We are particularly interested in the town of Hoxter because that is where my husband's ancestors are from. Also, he was born and raised in New Braunfels TX, so we are interested in Braunfels and the Braunfels Castle. Anything you can provide would be helpful.

Loads of info and absolutely fun to read. Very well done. No info on Braunfels however. Having spent many years in San Antonio, Austin, and Temple I have enjoyed several trips to New Braunfels, and other German, Alsatian, and Czech communites in the hill country. Miss the Schlitterbahn! omas - though I have been to several towns along the fairy tale road, I have never been to Braunfels, so did an internet search for Braunfels Germany, and Braunfels Castle and stuck gold. The town itself looks very picturesque and the castle impressive. I am sure you will have a wonderful time and envy you!!

Thank you for the info. Schlitterbahn is the best! We went last year for the Wurstfest. Sausage and beer everywhere!
