factory outlet shopping
 

I am not sure what you would call them in Paris or London but anyone know of locations where you can buy comfortable walking shoes (or anything to do with clothing for that matter) direct from the manufacturer at a discounted price?<BR><BR>We have them where I am and sometimes they are called factory clearance houses and sometimes they are simply called factory seconds stores (not 2nd hand though)a nd often about 50% off. <BR><BR>I am particularly interested in rockport shoes but any ideas will be great.

Ted,<BR><BR>I know they have a few in the UK and one outside London but I do not have the address. As for France I have no idea. By the way why would you want to buy Rockports in Europe? Not sure if they are here and would be cheaper in the USA.

don't come from USA so getting it from there would be a bit out of the way, and i am open to other suggestions, i just hear that rockports are the best

Sorry Ted, I should have check your mail address! I have not seen rockports sold here but I always saw them in the U.S. Buy a pair on-line to take over with you! I have heard the UK outlets are good but they are UK retail shops and may not have specific brands you are looking for.

Ted,<BR><BR>If you speak some french,<BR>www.factoryzone.com<BR>gives a complete listing of outlets (called "magasins d'usine") in France, sorted by brand, category & location.<BR><BR>There's a large cluster of them near Troyes.<BR><BR>Couldn't find a listing for Rockport however.
