Factory Outlet

Are there any factory outlet near Paris that sold off-season items ?

I've posted this before:

www.marquesavenue.com

It shows a location at l'Ile St. Denis for Paris with 112 stores. St Denis is north of Paris and is known for the cathedral that's a burial place for French royalty. The "ile" (island) is to the west of St Denis in the Seine river and must be where the outlet center is.

In Marne-la-vallee (east of Paris on the way to Disneyland), there is "La vallee Village":

I recently returned from my trip to Paris (May 2004) and I visited the Marques Avenue outlets in L'lle Saint Denis. I was coming from the Latin Quarter so I had to switch from one metro to another and then take a bus (4 stops) and walk approx. 3 blocks to the Marques Avenue outlets. But let me tell you it was worth it. If you go onto their website they list all of the shops that are located in the outlet mall. My only advice to you is learn French or bring your French dictionary, most of the merchants do not speak English as most tourists don't go there to shop. I got some very nice clothes for myself and my 1 year old daughter. I also purchased some lovely textiles for my kitchen.

Thanks for the reply.

As i only have 2 days in Paris, I think I can only go to one outlet, which one is better ? From their web site, La vallee Village "looks" better than marquesavenue.

Elisabeth, after reading your experience there. I will try and make it a point to go. But what kind of French words would we need to know? Example, clothes and shoe sizes or prices, maybe? I don't believe that we need to bargain with the merchants, ya?

Also would it be possible for you to say roughly what was the price range like?
