extended stay from paris
 

we will be on a bus. trip in paris for 5 days, late april. would like to see other parts of france. anyone have an itinerary for 4 days of an extended stay? thanx

You're going to be on a bus in Paris for five days? What crime were you convicted of?

With 4 extra days you could:

Tour the Loire Valley
Tour the Champagne region
Tour Normandy
Take the TGV to Avignon and tour the Bouche-du-Rhône area

But you need to do some basic research to see which, if any, of these areas appeals to you. Or at least tell us what you like to do, how you like to travel, what your budget is, etc.

Thanx for your input. it gives a startingpoint. Also, I knew I shouldn't have abbreviated "business", we won't be on a bus (thank heaven). we would like to stay in country inns (if they're as romantic as depicted), site-see, experience what there is and we aren't restricted budget-wise. I'm thinking fly into Paris and out of Nice (how about Provence?) I wish the lavender was in bloom. Any & all suggestions are appreciated.

Car is not out of the question. Is it pretty easy to get around? Also, during our 5 days on the "business" trip we would like to go to Belgium - any suggestions there? Can it be done in a day?
