Experiences with europebyair (europebyair.com)?

Hi! Has anyone used europebyair.com? Would welcome any positive/negative experiences (I also looked at the older thread), but specifically my question is, if I book through the site will I receive the actual tickets in the mail with actual seat reservations (or an e-ticket equivalent), or just a voucher for travel without specific flight and seat reservations? Thanks very much. The flight I am interested in is Zurich to Zagreb in May.

I'm very interested in this also so will top this for you.

My only concern is that the "passes" are non-changeable and non-refundable which by itself isn't a big deal these days...but when you couple that with the fact that "all routes and flights are subject to change" it becomes a little more interesting.

I've always wondered how long the routes remain in effect..hopefully this is actually a non-issue.

I've used them before -- again for Lisbon to Malaga last year (on Portugalia). I've not had any problems with them.

If a flight gets changed or canceled, I don't think that that has anything to do with europebyair -- that's more the airline's problem.

Perhaps things have changed, but my impression is that you can actually change your reservations free of charge.

Though I just used europebyair again last year, I actually don't remember that experience very well (I don't think that europebyair mailed me actual tickets, but they might have). In 2002 I used them also, and they issued coupons back then (that the airline had to fill out).

Airport taxes are extra.

I think that they're fine -- but if you book directly with the airline the tickets can be cheaper, so that's worth investigating. Since airport taxes are separate, you need to go to the airline's counter to pay (usually) before you check in for your flights.

Last October I flew to Lisbon from Cologne and stayed for a couple of days. When I got in to Lisbon, I did whatever I needed to do for my flight to Malaga a few days later and it was all fine.

Anyway, whether the agency does mail the actual tickets, I didn't have a problem with them in the couple of flights I used them for -- the airline always had my reservations (when you book with europebyair, you can specify the flights you want).

As I mentioned, I think that you can even change your reservations, but I'm not sure what the current policy is.

We used them last year for our trip to Croatia and it worked fine. Flew Rome to Split, then later Dubrovnik to Zagreb and finally Zagreb to Amsterdam. Your flight from Zurich to Zagreb would be on Croatian Air. You can go on their site to see what the specific times are that they have flights. You do need to add more time
at the airport to pay the airport taxes, etc. Otherwise, it seems pretty much like a normal flight on any airline.

How do you figure out what the taxes are on a leg so you can compare to see if these vouchers are really a better deal than just a ticket purchase? About how much have you paid in taxes per leg?

Reserved & paid Business Class but ticketed Coach. “ europebyair.com”

Checked business fare Boston To Dublin to Malaga and finding it much lower than other websites called to check validity .
FIRST ALARM BELL* the operator is NOT employed by europebyair and unable to confirm webfares.

Thinking there could be a mistake, I reverted to the website again and checked coach class fare which was lower.

2ND ALARM BELL** I booked and paid BUSINESS CLASS but received a coach class ticket ! Fortunately I printed out a copy of my on line reservation confirmation. I've complained. The managing director a Mr Geoff Moss replied, “They do not offer nor book Business Class” . however contrarily, their website offers COACH -BUSINESS AND FIRST CLASS fares! The eticket I booked and received undisputably states a business class reservation.

Without apology for their glaring ‘error’ or is it deliberate? Instead of accepting their mistake and providing business class travel, reluctantly conveniently simply refunded the fare, cancelling the ticket, carelessly leaving me to change travel plans.

Specifically related to the transatlantic flight I’d reserved non refundable connecting flights to Boston; now useless, for which obviously they should reimburse me. They’ve deliberately avoided the issue and haven’t reimbursed me for the $359. Loss.

8/13-14 emails are returned as undeliverable !

Overall from my experience this company is untrustworthy and should be avoided.
