experience with George the famous Taxi driver

Has anyone taken tours with George the famous taxi driver. We were thinking of the one from Athens to Delphi, or possibly with an overnight in Meteora (or one of the other two day tours)

Advice most welcome!

Never heard of him... BUT

If you hire him to drive you to places, that would be ok...
A taxi driver is not a tourist guide though, he is not even allowed to go with you to archaeological sites and museums and will have to wait outside.

In Greece there are licensed guides that have studied and are qualified to guide you in sites, museums and monuments.
A taxi driver can only give you general information about Greece and it's everyday life, just like any other Greek.

George "the famous taxi driver" is heavily hyped on the Matt Barrett website. Chances are your driver won't be George, but one of his employees.

We tried "George the famous taxi driver" several years ago, and wound up with an employee whose name was... George. I didn't find the service that great or unique.

If it matters, we've been very happy with PKTravel.com, based in Athens. We've used their transfer services for several years all over Greece, most recently this June. I highly recommend them!
