Exotic Hot Springs & Spa Resort
This summer my wife and I decided to explore towns in Germany & Austria Off The Beaten Track. Bad Fuessen is beloved by Locals who come back each year to enjoy its health giving natural Hot springs and Spa. We stayed at a 4* Hotel Ludwig with its own private spring but the town of Bad Fuessen is dotted with lovely hotels and the springs can be enjoyed as a public amenity in the Town Center with its magnificent gardens rivaling most in Europe. There are wineries, coffee shops, cafes, boutique restaurants with haute cuisine and of course beer gartens everywhere. This is as close to heaven as you can find - at an affordable price until it is "discovered" by Tourists. Bad Fuessen's location allowed us to make day trips to Salzburg, Burghausen, in between Spa Treatments. Remember you heard it here first.

I'm guessing you tell us about Bad Füssing near Passau. Good old Ludwig II has not left us a spa in Füssen, may god forgive him. ;) |
There is nothing "exotic" about the spa in Füssing or anywhere else in Germany. And it's been discovered by plenty of tourists, including me 20 years ago. Just as there is nothing exotic about eating eel in Germany or anywhere else in Europe. Appreciate your enthusiasm for the things you've seen and done in Germany, but you might tone it down about how "special" these things are.
Have you been to Les Sources de Caudalie? |
Is the commentator correct? Is it Bad Füssing?

While Germany has some fine spas, you'll find some far more wonderful ones in Hungary, including cave ones.

Thank you. Maybe some day we'll get to Hungary. . .
