The rule of thumb according to my friends who spend time in London is, "Whatever costs you $54 here is going to cost you 54 GBP there"...

Very true. For the US, that's roughly 75% extra on top of what it shows in GBP. As silly and stupid as it seems, I've been avoiding the UK due to the conversion rates (and my wee budget), but the pull is too strong, so I'm going in June. :-$

Hi poppy,

How old are you?

What are you expecting to buy in London?

Go to amazon.co.uk and search til you find the end of the internet. Prices will give you a representative slice of what to expect there.

Best wishes,

Rex

The end of the Internet? I thought it was still growing.

A bit like the universe? Isn't there a restaurant at the end?

Oh Rex,

Don't be unkind. :)
