Evenings in Paris - Tempurature

Please help me decide what to take to Paris.
We will be there for 4 days staring July 1st. I can see that the days will be warm -but what will the evening tempurature be? Will we always need light jackets - or will short sleves be ok generally?
Thanks for your help.

The evening temperature is also likely to be on the warm side, but you'd be safe with a light sweater or jacket just in case a cool breeze picks up.

Jenn, this address gives the climate in Paris. The average hi/lo in June is 70/54 and July 75/58. A good guess would be mid 60s in the early evening.

Hi Jenn:

I agree with the comments here. I always have a black microfiber jacket with me. Also, as others on the board know, I love to buy a large pashmina in Paris (I prefer one really nice one like from Kenzo or Dior if I can find it on sale!). Even though these are mostly thought of as winter items, usally you do see some lighter weight ones fro sale too and they make a great souvenir to remember Paris by.

And maybe a sweater if you want to take an evening boat ride on the Seine.

You can't tell this far ahead of time. I have been there many times in July and the evening temperatures ranged from about 60 where you needed a jacket (preferably with some lining), to about 90 where you didn't need anything. There is no guarantee that the days will be warm, also, although they may. The majority of the time, I take either a light sweater in the evening in July or nothing (although it can get cool around 11-12 pm going back to my hotel or whatever).

Ditto to Dave's comment. I tucked a windbreaker in my backpack for the day and was VERY glad I had it for the evening ride on the Seine. It got downright chilly!
