evening of song and dance
I will be in Dublin and I wonder if anyone has gone to some of the many different Irish singing and dancing evenings. I plan to do one literary pub tour which looks like fun.

Then I am trying to decide which one to do:

As always ...thank you for your input

I am thinking about doing/ http://irishfolktours.com/storytelling/
the other no, it is on many tour schedules though. We have seven nights in Dublin and was hoping for a play or performer to see but bad week. Zilch during our week. We are staying over by Smithfield and we know of two good local pubs for entertainment in the evening but am still checking.

I am doing this on Sunday if we don't take a day trip out of the city.
Yes to the literary pub tour.

Peter Sheridan, who is an Irish playwright, screenwriter and director and has written several really good novels based on his life does a 1:00 pm show at Bewley's cafe theatre and would love to see this. His brother is Jim Sheridan. Does anyone know if the cafe is finished? Last two visits and they have been renovating. In the meantime they have the shows at the Powerscourt.

Have you seen this? Once is playing again at the Olympia

The Merry ploughboy show is a ride out of the city or would think about it at least. My girlfriend saw it and liked it. It was a bit hokey but geared for tourist. I am thinking about the dinner show at Brazen head. Someone on here recently saw it and said it was great.
