The Holiday Inn Kensington Forum location is very good, if you get that on Priceline in the Kensington zone. But I'd much prefer the Ibis Euston location to the Hilton Olympia, which is a more likely "win" on Priceline in the Kensington zone. I know some people have been happy with the Hilton Olympia, but it's not central.
However, I'd definitely try bidding on Priceline in the Bloomsbury zone, because you have a good chance of getting a 4* hotel, for the same or lesser price as the Ibis Euston, that will be at least equally well located. And I think the Ibis Euston low rate requires prepayment, which means that it has no advantage compared to bidding on Priceline in that respect.

Ibis Euston low rate doesn't require prepayment. I can cancel it without penalty until 18.00h on the arrival day. It's simply a 3-day weekend pack, and since I decided to stay one more day, I booked another day on their regular tariff.
When I travel I always book my hotels through sites like bookings.net or venere.com and I never had any problem. This whole bidding thing is new for me, but I'll definitely take a look. After all organizing your trip is half the fun, and of course - the cheaper-the better.

Go to the Euston hotel. As Flanneur says, its in a cracking location in terms of things to do, and is only walking distance from the centre of town. Otherwise the 24 bus is you new best friend.
It has the biggest birds I've seen in London too:
