Eurostar tickets - where to buy?

I need to buy Eurostar tickets to go from Paris to London in July. Aside from the Eurostart website, is there a cheaper place from which to get them? Any hints on what I should be doing would be helpful. I want to take advantage of purchasing them in advance.

Last time I was in London I made reservations over the phone(in July) two days before my departure. The price was lower than any I had seen in the States.
Just picked up my tickets at train time at the ticket booth at Waterloo.

I just purchased mine for $120.00 (round trip) + s/h = total $131.00. They can be purchased through the website. Don't know if you can get cheaper than this. Got the ticket in 2 days, delivered by UPS.

i just booked my eurostar ticket from London to Paris (for aug) here in Toronto, where the next day, they gave me my ticket. they did everything for me very quickly with no hassle. i'm sure travel agents everywhere would do the same thing. see if you have a "Flight Centre" where you live.

How did you get a $120 round trip ticket, Betty? The one way leisure ticket through the Eurostar site is $139. I'm not going until July, so time isn't a factor. If I buy it in Paris (I'm going to London), will it be cheaper if I wait? I'm not one to procrastinate so I'd rather buy the ticket ahead of time and save the hassle.

Any ideas?

Message: Claudia - Claudia, call 1-877-257-2887 and you will be on your way. The cost (buying at least 60 days in advance) is $120.00 round trip per ticket + 11.00 handling fee per ticket. As I said, I got them in 2 days from UPS. It was great!

Buy direct from eurostar. The 14 day apex ticket (you must buy 14 days in advance) is 79 pounds (@$116) roundtrip. For this cheap price you cannot change your ticket once purchased. If you are under 26 get the youth pass which is a little more flexible.

Thanks to all of you. I think the thing that confused me is that it's cheaper to buy a round trip ticket than a one way one. I'm not sure if the SNCF site is really any cheaper so I'll probably buy the round trip ticket but not use it. Any suggestions what to do with the extra portion? I doubt if it's transferable.

I called Eurostar directly in London, they will send a ticket to you if there's enough time. They have different prices from Rail Europe, you do need to be careful on both sites as whether they allow changesand refunds. Their web is Eurostar.co.uk
their call enter number is 011 44 1233 617575

What is the best method of getting a one-way ticket from Paris to London ? Can I go to Gare de Nord Station the morning I leave and buy a ticket ? If, so, what is the average cost of a last minute one-way ?

SNCF site gives 75e as cost for 2nd class RT to London (purchased 3 days ahead of time). Don't know when you are going, but you could always just throw away the return. You can purchase ahead on their site and pick up the day of departure.

We got our tickets via RailEurope here in the US. I had checked with EuroStar in London & they were higher priced than their US affiliate (RailEurope. The tickets were delivered by UPS in 2 days & no sweat. We had no problems when we went to use them. They have several advance purchase options. If you make a round trip reservation you only have to use 1 part if it's cheaper than 1 way. In our case it wasn't.
