Eurostar Tickets

I want to purchase roundtrip tickets on the Eurostar from Paris to London. When I checked the Eurostar website, it said to order the tickets and pick them up at the train station on the day of travel. I really wanted to have the tickets mailed to my house before I leave. I am concered that when I go to pick up the tickets they will not have my order or the tickets will not be available. Has anyone had experience with this?

Thanks

Hi kt,

You will get an email confirmation. Bring this to the ticket booth with the same credit card you used to book your ticket.
It is the same as an e-ticket on an airplane.

You might find a lower price at www.raileurope.com

You may want to order them through BETS then. Its probably only $10-20 extra, but if having them in your hand is important, you will have that.

The number is 800-441-2387.

I recently bought Eurostar tickets London-Paris from Eurostar.com. I opted to have the tickets sent to my house so I would have them "in hand". They were able to mail my tickets to me within 2 weeks via Royal Mail at no extra charge. So I would check again just to be sure they can't be mailed.

Having said that, I know people who have picked up their reserved tickets at the train station. One simply inserts their credit card into the machine and out pops the boarding pass. I have never heard of anyone not getting their reserved tickets. You should be fine either way.

I have purchased Eurostar tickets, UK domestic train tickets, London concert tickets, all involving collecting the tickets from a machine at the train station or venue. I am much more comfortable with that than with the ability of the Royal Mail and the Canada Post to deliver the tickets to me.
