Eurostar punctual ? can i go for musical also on the same day?

hi

I just booked my Eurostar tickets from London to Paris on 7 Nov and returning on 10 Nov by the 17:10 train, expect to reach Liverpool street station by 18:56.

I would like to know if Eurostar is usually on schedule. Will there be any possible delay ? Will I be able to go for a musical show (e.g Producers)at 19:30 on same day ie 10 Nov ?

Will the theatre allow me to enter if i am a bit late ? Or should i go for the musical on the next day ie 11 Nov ? Not sure if I can buy the friday ticket easily.

Thanks a lot

You are allowing 34 minutes to go from Waterloo Station to the theatre.
The stress wouldn't be worth it to me.
If you are late you will be seated at the discretion of the ushers, and you will irritate everyone in all the seats around you.

The most recent surveys give the Eurostar about an 80-85% on time arrival rate, but the "on time" definition means arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival.
As regular riders of the Eurostar (almost every week), we think you're cutting it too close. It would be better to arrive on an earlier train and enjoy a leisurely pre-theatre drink; if you can't change your train departure time, then buy a ticket for the next day's show.

Just curious, but you are going to Paris for 3 days, so what were you planning on doing with your luggage?

Good point. There won't be room even for a weekend bag at the theatre...

Go the next day. Go to the cinema or something the evening you get back.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I will try the next day's ticket then. thanks!

I took the Eurostar in June and a another train broke down ahead of us on the tracks. We were 2-1/2 hours late, and it put a crimp in our schedule. I would not risk missing the performance - book for the next day.
