Eurostar London to Paris seating question
Our London and Paris trip is coming up and I just booked our Eurostar tickets traveling from London to Paris. I decided to go with the standard class to save the extra $$ for museums, dining, etc. Anyway, I received my confirm and seating assignment (which I know can be changed or upgraded) so I checked to see where we're at because I do want a window seat and also want to face forward. I searched for a seating chart to check, and I'm confused because we've been assigned to carriage 6 which looks like it is the bar/buffet coach. What am I missing?? Thanks for any help that may be offered!

Thanks, Janis. My ticket booking does list seat numbers so I don't believe it's standing. Is carriage the same thing as coach? The receipt lists the carriage number. The maps I've pulled up online show coach number.

yes the same -- I probably should have said 'Carriage' . . .
You won't be standing, unless you want to stand in the buffet car for a drink or something.
If you have a ticket you will have a seat.

Thanks, Patrick, I hadn't mixed up the carriage and seat numbers, but apparently on the train we're on, carriage 6 is not the buffet/bar carriage. I was able to see a map by clicking on the 'manage your booking, then change seats' section. Looks like an e320 train and carriage 6 is a standard seating carriage.
