Moyah, thank you for the question. janis had a great suggestion for you. Do try to go with smaller size luggage. Several years ago we travelled with two 30inch bags and one 27 inch bag. It was impossible to drag onto the train, there was no place to put it and we got lots of nasty looks from both locals and other tourists. My son who was ten at the time could not drag the 27 inch bag up the metro stairs and my husband and I were so loaded down with our own bags that we were not much help. A wonderful Frenchman took pity on us and helped my son with his bag. We had trouble fitting it all in our rental car and believe it or not we had trouble fitting it into some our hotel rooms. We now travel with 22 inch size bags and do a bit of laundry. We have discovered traveling freedom, hope you do to.
Marilyn, we will be arriving by taxi so will inform the driver. Gosh only 27 days to go, not that I'm counting. Please post when you get back moyah! |
That's for your concerns....I usually travel with at 24 inch with lots of jeans and tops, however, and that's a big however, this trip is different. We're visiting friends and family in Paris for two weeks and will need some driessier clothes and the usual "hostess gifts". Don't tell me to buy in Europe...can't beat the price of the gifts I can get in Marshalls, Ross, and the summer sales in all the major dept. stores. Anyway, you all have been wonderfully helpful and I will try to post when I get back.
