Eurostar-Eurail question
 

Hello,<BR><BR>I am taking the Eurostar from London to Brussels and have already purchased my ticket. My question is this:<BR>Since I have a Eurail Selectpass (and thus received a Passholder fare), must I validate my Selectpass at Waterloo Station even though my London - Brussels trip will not use up one of my days from the Selectpass? In other words, do I need to do anything besides board the train with my Eurostar ticket?<BR><BR>Tim Stark

Hi Pat,<BR><BR>I bought my Eurostar ticket (and all my other rail products) from Euraide which is a Munich based company that is great! Their Web site:<BR><BR>http://www.euraide.de/<BR><BR>is not what is so good about the company. What is great is Alan Wissenberg who will respond to emails with very specific advice and is able to save you lots of money (especially compared to RailEurope) when he is able.<BR>Happy travels!<BR>Tim

Tim, if I understand your question correctly, you don't need to validate your pass until you actually use it for the first time. If you're not using your pass for the London-Brussels leg of your trip, don't validate it in London, just get on the train with your Eurostar ticket.

Tim,<BR>I went from London to Paris with Eurostar and then Paris to Rome using my Eurail pass. I did not validate my pass until my journey from Paris to Rome, so the answer to your question is that you do not need to validate your pass at Waterloo.

No, as mentioned above you do not need to validate your pass when you travel by Eurostar. You were given a special "passholder" fare for Eurostar as a bonus for buying another pass, but the pass itself now has nothing to do with your already purchased Eurostar ticket.
