Euros in Use in Austria?
 

I know that most of the EC has switched over to use of Euros, but I read recently that in Austria the Shilling will be no longer accepted after July 1st. As I have a trip planned to Vienna in late May, and was hoping to use only Euros, does this mean I should talk some Austrian Shillings as well??? I thinking about small purchases, coffee, snacks, etc--

Austria is part of the Eurozone and they use euros.

Austria uses Euros only now. Forget about any schillings! End of February was the deadline I think for using up0n any schillings!

It's euro, not euros. No "s". 50 euro, 1 euro, etc.

Was just in Austria. No schillings to be found...its all euro, all the time.<BR><BR>The Austrians I spoke with are having a hard time with the switch but schillings are no longer currency anywhere there.
