A sort of diversion about clergy getting away with things - if you were on trial for a capital offence, you could avoid the noose by pleading "benefit of clergy" which basically meant that you could read. You [i say "you" but this largely applied to men as most people who could read were priests] were then dealt with by the much less strict ecclesiastical courts.

sorry I can't help with any of the outstanding answers - the only one i knew was Arthur's Seat.

No 11 - who was Greyfriar's Bobby? [all brits are disqualified from answering this one 'cos you will undoubtedly have seen the film.]

tom_mn you are right for #6...they are all the coldest places in Europe for sure.

SORRY about #8 I should have added that the places is in Brussels.
It is unfair not to name the location...making one guess all over Europe.!!

Gee, Perce, you say the nicest things. Scarlett will be getting jealous!

I wish that we'd known about the park when we visited Brussels a few years ago - still perhaps a reason to go back, apart from the food that is.
