EUROPEAN VACATION SUGGESTIONS...

I have some free airline and hotel points im looking to use around March to travel to Europe with. Needs to be a big city as the hotel nights are with Holiday Inns. Would love some suggestions as to what city to visit. I love cities with lots of history (ie. Rome) and/or artsy/museums (ie. Florence) and/or WW2 history (ie. Berlin).

Berlin was probably my favorite city ive visited anywere with all the WW2 and wall history. So many cool sites to visit. Are there any other cities that i could spend 5 days at and not get bored like Berlin?

Ive been to the following so please dont suggest them:
Brussels
Paris
Berlin
Munich
Lisbon
Madrid
Salzburg
Praque
Vienna
Florence
Venice

Any help is much appreciated!!!

London stands out by omission from your list... and in
5 days you certainly won't get bored per Samuel Johnson!

I would start with a list of Holiday Inns. there aren;t that many in Europe and betwen that and the list of places you've already seen you might not have that long a list. Also, I'm sure many people don;t know where the Holiday Inns are - I haven;t a clue except for 2 or 3 cities - and I've been more than 70 times.

I'd vote for Rome. If you are lucky you could get good spring weather there in March and even if it isn't really nice weather, there is plenty of history and art to fill your time and more

London or Rome. I'd pick Rome for the better weather at that time

Rome mid March 2007 ... hail, snow, rain, wind and very, very cold. Also in Rome one needs a bit of luck with the weather.

Rome or Istanbul. I haven't been to Istanbul, but plan to do so someday. Both have more than enough history to keep you busy for 5 days. (So does London, but I'd go with the others due to a better chance of better weather.)
