Bookmarking, and www.dohop.com is another good website for looking up cheap flights. It includes low-cost carriers, including everyone's perennial favorite flying taxis, RyanAir and EasyJet.

For European train sites (trains are my bag) i always spotlight these three info-laden sites with more than the usual listing of railpasses and an 'add to court button' - www.budgeteuropetravel.com; www.seat61.com; www.ricksteves.com. For train schedules i always use the German Rail web site for schedules all over Europe - www.bahn.de.
