European Portuguese translation app
 

Google Translate should work well enough. I had it on my phone during my ten day trip to Portugal last year but didn't need it. The only time I might have used it was with a small hotel manager in Coimbra who didn't speak English well, but it was over the phone, and we had communicated well enough in person. Everywhere else people generally spoke English, but I didn't have too many long conversations.
