European Honeymoon Itinerary
After much planning & anticipation on green card arrival, we have finally booked our flight & have the back-bone of our trip planned. Here goes:
Fly ORD-Paris, arrive 7:30am on a Saturday
Spend 3 more days in Paris
See Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Versailles & any other main sights
Fly Paris Beauvais - Milan (via Ryanair this flight was only 0.01E/person + taxes!!)
Rent a car in Milan & head south
This will be the relaxing part of the trip - either stay in Cinque Terre & Tuscany - we're going to be spontaneous here
Perhaps spend a day in Florence??
Spend last 3 days in Rome
- fly Rome-ORD
Is anyone familiar with the Paris Beauvais airport - is it centrally located? Any suggestions are appreciated - & especially restaurant recommendations. We still have to research Tuscany & decide what area we are going to stay in & then take day trips by car. Can we do Florence in one day? we are looking into overall sights - not really getting deep into museums or churches... Thanks for any advice! I can't wait to go!!!

Hi Angela,
Beauvais is not close to Paris. You take a shuttle bus, leaving about 3 hr before your flight time.
See www.ryaniar.com for instructions.

Ira- I checked out the Ryanair website & can't find info on where Beauvais is. We'll probably be staying somewhere close to either Sorbonne or the Louvre - do you knwo how far it is from there? Where can we take a shuttle & how long will it take?

Hi A,
If you enter "ryanair shuttle beauvais" at www.google.com you will get http://www.parisnet.net/info_airplane.html
and http://tinyurl.com/7achp
To find out how to get from your hotel to Porte Maillot see www.ratp.fr.

Hi a,
>Also, since our flight leaves at 8:30am, will it be a problem getting a shuttle very early in the morning??<
Oh dear. You will have to take the 05:30 bus.
See the tiny URL for links to the airport bus service.

Gee I'm glad you've given me this tip!! We don't have a problem with getting up early that morning - my main concern is if there will even be a bus at that time - or will we have to take a taxi? I went to the websites you suggested & I don't see a schedule - perhaps I have to call or e-mail them...
