European Driving Tour
I am starting off iN frankfurt, renting a car and driving to Zurich, Venice, Rome, Pisa, Monte Carlo, Marseilles, Barcelona and Madrid, I fly out of Madrid, I was looking at maps online but dont want the most direct route per se, I am most interested in the most scenic route, can anyone suggest a resource I could use to provide me with this information, for example while driving to Zurich I would like to drive through the alps and in Italy, I would like to visit Tuscanny etc.
Thank you JJ |
How much time do you have for this driving tour? And I trust you know that picking up a car in one country and leaving it another will cost you a good deal.

Yes, A BMW, 5 series, not too big not too small, picking up in Frankfurt and dropping in Madrid is costing $1700 all inclusive with Auto Europe,
I have 2 1/2 weeks to do all those cities, Utell Hotel Group have at least one hotel in every city I wish to visit, so thats useful. JJ |
Hi josh,
The www.viamichelin.com route suggestions offer "no tolls" as well as "recommended". If you zoom in you can see the marks for "scenic view". |
I like most and I have used it extensively is Auto Route Europe 2002. It was called a few years ago AutoMap Europe.
It is easy to use and give a lot of informations (a friend thinks them too much) about cities, regions, countries, what to see inside a certain distance that you choose rom the road. It gives the fastest, the scenier, etc. routes. Enjoy |
