What are your top European cities for August trips?

In August, cities in Norway, Sweden, Finland, or high in the Alps.

Reutte, Vaduz, Luzern, Talloires, Satigny - - but then, it has been a few years since I last traveled in August... to Europe.

Stockholm is incredibly beautiful in August - warm , but not hot, bright blue sunny skies - and all those canals, lakes and bays - great for swimming and boating - as well as lots of big city activities.

Amsterdam, Venice, Paris, Geneva (yes I know it's hot but summer is the only time I have to travel so I go to the places I want to see most anyways).

I know, summer is the only travel time I have as well. Argh...hard to decide!
