Europe- What City? For 4Day Guy Trip

Looking for a European city for a trip with six guys (really bachelor party for 40 year olds). Looking for a beautiful/safe city that has nightlife/pubs for drinking, activities for sightseeing and is not a couples romance city (Venice). Considering Stockholm- not sure if exciting enough and Prague. Already done the "English" cities. Thoughts appreciated.

I've never been, but have heard that Madrid has quite the party scene.

Is this going to be like it was in that movie "Hostel?" :) I vote Amsterdam.

I thought Amsterdam when I read the title -- but on second thought -- how about Reykjavik? While not as beautiful city (what do guys on a spree care anyway?) it has plenty of sightseeing outside of town, spectacular natural beauty. Natural hot springs to cure hangovers. And, on Friday and Saturday nights, the wildest nightlife imaginable. It is a young scene, though. Potential for life long memories.

Barcelona, Munich, Amsterdam, Berlin

I never understand why people call Venice "couples" city. I've seen that mentioned quite often, and I just don't get it. Granted it's not a party city, and I wouldn't suggest it for these guys, but it's perfect for solo travel or going with a friend (I've done both).

Definitely Barcelona -- such a wide range of things to do, a vibrant and energetic vibe, tons of affordable bars with the best food and drink, you can hang out on the beach when you're tired of the city, and your girlfriends won't politely request that you get screened for STD's when you return home.

Thanks for input, Barcelona, Rekjavik & Munich short-list.

Prague is off and a few guys think they'll never return from Amsterdam.

Just went to Nice for the first time... nice city, decent nightlife, and Monaco is 20 minutes away- nice beaches- not romantic in my views.. have fun

I'd vote for Barcelona too. Great vibe, loads of great sightseeing (more than just museums), great food, great nightlife and nice people. And a beach!

Barcelona!! Hands down!

I'm surprised no one's said Tallinn, Estonia. From what I hear, it's turned into quite the city for what cotes is looking for.

Hey,

You have to check out this Barcelona apartment. Luxury 6 BR, 4 Bath with several lounges, a dining table for 12, a game room, and even a small chapel so you can pray for forgiveness. It's in a great central location and works out to less than 90 E/night per person.

I don't anything about the rental personally, but I recall drooling over it when I saw it last Spring.
