I am planning for a Europe trip in the month of August. Kindly help me through the places to visit and the stay to make for 10days trip.

Well, now that you've got that sorted out, it's time to read some guidebooks and peruse the official websites of those cities.

BUT, 4 big cities in 10 days is going to make for a very, very rushed trip, especially given the distances between them. You're going to lose a lot of time - at least 3 days' worth - traveling between them, so you'll really have only 7 days of visiting time, and a good part of your trip will be seeing train stations and airports.

Beyond that, since you have provided absolutely no information about your interests, there's nothing much anyone can tell you.

10 days too much for 4 bases with a travel day in between each. Amsterdam and Paris and a stop in say Bruges may be practical. Or Berlin, Prague and maybe Vienna. Trains are great - research them - www.seat61.com; BETS-European Rail Experts and www.ricksteves.com will tell you all you need to know. Book early for discounted tickets over walk-up.

If you are going between these I would definitely check on the train schedule and tickets. My friends are having hard time getting train tickets now for the summer as there are a lot of train strikes, so they end up renting a car for a month to get around. In your case if you plan to go outside of Western Europe to visit Prague, which is Eastern Europe it will be difficult to get a rental, so you can do a short-term car lease instead Car Rentals Leases in Europe - Login - rent a car in Europe, lease car in France, Lease car in France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Great Britain Otherwise, if you can get train tix now, then definitely get them ahead of time. RickSteves is also a good source for travel info.

A lot of train strikes? Where? The only ones I'm aware of now are in France, and those have diminished enormously in recent days/weeks, with only about 10% of workers striking.

And it is not at all difficult to get a car rental in The Czech Republic. Moreover, you normally have to be anywhere in Europe for more than 10 days to be eleigible for a lease. And The Czech Republic is in Central Europe, not Eastern Europe.

Complete fabrication obviously - even if there were occasional strikes in France which are fading out they would have no problem booking train tickets there or anywhere in Europe.

Dear Tanvitanu, if you want to receive useful information here, do some homework first, and provide some basic info:
Where are you coming from? Long intercontinental flight + jetlag?
Have you been to Europe before?
Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris is too much for 10 days; you'll spend a day traveling everytime you change cities - and a lot of money too. Pick 2. 3 at the most, if they are close together.

Are you traveling on your own? On a budget? Or with a family?

I would do either Paris/Amsterdam - with a possible stop in Belgium - OR Prague/Berlin.

And for latter also possible stop in Dresden. In Belgium most love Bruges but places like tulips' Antwerp is also cool and Gent and some prefer these to a highly touristed Bruges.

That's too many places for only 10 days time. I would say at least one needs to get crossed off, unless you are OK with staying just 1-1/2 days in each place.

Assuming you are not in Europe already, the arrival and departure days really don't count. So 10 days, becomes 8 usable days right off the bat, minus 0.5 day each time you change between 4 cities, so realistically subtract another 2 days (4 x 0.5). So from 10 days total, you actually have only 6 full days of sight seeing, split between 4 different cities, so a day & a half each place.
