10 days?

Totally impossible to even hit half of those.

Have to decide -say Paris, Belgium and Amsterdam

Or Paris and Switzerland

Forget Austria as it's an outlier unless really want to go - then fly there from Paris or Amsterdam.

Fly into one city and out of another - so-called Open Jaw Ticket.

By train or car?

Trains if going mainly to famous large cities as most are wont to do the first time.

For lots on trains and where to go with them: www.ricksteves.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.seat61.com.

Really in 10 days you could do Paris - train to Bruges (to many absolute highlight of Belgium) and end in Amsterdam.

Or Paris - train to Switzerland - head for high Alps around Interlaken (Jungfrau Region) and Lucerne and fly home from Zurich.

Ten days. . . Pick a (one) country, or two cities like Paris, a few day trips and Amsterdam.

And IF you mean 10 days total which is only 7.5 days on the ground, just Paris is good.

Yes pick three max places that are not too far from each other if 10 full days -if 7.5 do so Paris and Amsterdam.

Sale.
Paris. Stop at Bruxelles. Finish at Amsterdam.

If you can avoid backtracking fly open jaw : arrive paris départ Amsterdam or other way round.

Qui trop embrasse mal étreint.

Hi, You need to mention your interests. Have you been to Europe before? Switzerland is lovely but expensive, as are some big cities in my opinion. You have gotten good advice to cut down to 3 cities. Use trains and open jaw, in one city and out another to save travel time. Are you including travel days in your days in Europe? Sue
